Our Stylists
NATALIE OUELLET, OWNER
I first began my career in high school at the age of 15. I took a program, as I knew I had a love for hair and beauty. My mother was a hair stylist so I grew up around the industry and was drawn to it. I started an apprenticeship at a high end salon in Victoria where it was very colour-focused. Originally I was interested to cutting predominantly but as I continued my education I began to have a pull toward colour and, later, extensions. I’ve done intensive classes on every texture of hair so I can be a well rounded stylist and never feel like I have to say no to people based on their hair texture or ethnicity, as I feel like this is an industry-wide and ongoing issue, which I just chose to not be a part of.
Professionally I’ve been in the industry for 13 years. I moved to Vancouver when I was 21 for personal and career growth, and ultimately I was at a salon for 5 1/2 years, which where I was able to learn and grow, but eventually I came to a point where I wanted to be self-employed, as I felt I had exasperated my path working for others.
I’ve been self-employed for 3 and love it more than anything as I have control of all aspects of my business and can be as hands-on as I want. The next goal has and always was to eventually have my own salon, and when I met Suzie, we shared the same vision in every way. Its so rare to find someone you relate to with such ease, and it brought us to open a space where we share the same ethics and vision. Suzie has so much drive and resilience, I was inspired by her and just wanted her in my life in any capacity, and its a real treat to become partners in our first salon endeavour.
We are so pleased to introduce CASA to the world and can’t wait to meet all the new clientele it will bring.
SUZIE KLIMACK, OWNER
I graduated from Marvel College in Edmonton, Alberta in 2004, and have had extensive training in TONI&GUY and Vidal Sassoon cutting, Schwarzkopf colouring, Aveda cutting and colouring, and Davines.
I have always had a love for doing precision haircuts, including bobs and short hairstyles for women. In the first 7 years of my career, I specialized in cutting, but over the last 8 years, colour has become my passion. Blondes are my speciality, and colour corrections really excite me; I loves a colour challenge!
I have been a special makeup effects artist for IATSE in the Vancouver film industry for 10 years. My strong eye for colour, textures, different skin types and colours, and face shapes plays a huge part in my hairstyling. I always look at these elements during my consultation process to see what will look most flattering on my clients.
Although I love doing special makeup effects, the industry is gruelling and I'm wanting something with more balance, which is why I’m so excited to be launching CASA, especially with someone like Natalie. I have never seen someone with such great work ethic. She works non-stop in order to please her clients.
Nat and I were immediately drawn to each other as our work style is so similar, and our visions for the future were so on par with each other. It’s very rare to find another stylist that thinks and executes hair the same way. What I love the most about our relationship, is that we are complete opposites, yet we think the same way. We were meant to be!
When I’m not working, I love snowboarding, mountain biking, olympic weightlifting, commission paintings, and spending time with my dog and loved ones. Hope to see you in the studio soon!
What people are saying about our stylists…
“When I first sat down on Suzie’s salon chair, I asked her to cut off more than ten inches, she took one look at me and with a nod, said “Ok.” In those five years, I’ve had chopped pixie hair, side-shaved hair, long and blond, blunt and bobbed — all of them done by the trusted and dedicated shears of Suzie.
After every appointment, I walk away giddy with happiness and freshly “me” — because Suzie always takes my personality, taste, and aesthetic into account. I have an unending admiration for her patience and professionalism. Her energy level, bright attitude, and hawk-eye for detail is always at 110%. She has helped me transform my hair to unknown levels, but somehow manages to treat every tendril with respect and minimizes damage as much as she can. It’s her dedication to her craft, elevated by her care to her customers that continues to make me a faithful client to this day. I can’t wait for our next appointment.”

“I first saw Natalie back in 2014, initially for a colour correction. My hair was in really rough shape then, and she brought it back from the dead. I knew immediately that I wanted her to be my stylist for good! Since then, we’ve been on an incredible journey, dying my hair from purple to blue to grey to red to orange and then blonde again - you name it, she can do it and execute it flawlessly while prioritizing your hair’s health the entire time.
She is attentive, a perfectionist, and one of the hardest working people I’ve ever met. Beyond being a true professional in every sense, Natalie is just so much fun to be around. I really look forward to my sessions with her, and I consider myself extremely lucky to call her my stylist and friend.”

“Suzie first started rescuing my hair (from me!) many years ago. Like many people, I had some bad habits. Hair is so personal, and Suzie has the right balance of providing professional guidance while respecting a client's direction. She has gently tried to persuade me away from certain decisions and patiently obliged me when I was set on a style or colour. It's really important to me to find someone I can stick with because we all have nuances to our hair, and Suzie just understands mine so well.
Suzie is passionate about hair and takes pride in her craft. This really comes through in her consultation skills. There are plenty of stylists who are competent at colour and cutting, but Suzie is dedicated to being on the same page as her client and landing on a shared vision. Bonus points: Suzie's magnetic personality! She's hilarious and vibrant, and loves dogs as much as I do.”
